PANTONE colour of the year – Emerald

Monday, March 25th 2013 by

This year, Pantone, the global authority on colour, has revealed the colour of the year is emerald. Radiant and lively, the lush hue is believed to enhance our sense of well-being and promote balance and harmony.

Exuding sophisticated luxe, the colour translates easily to both fashion and home interiors. According to Pantone, green enlivens all colours in the spectrum and enhances the senses, which makes it the perfect addition to any abode.

“Green is the most abundant hue in nature — the human eye sees more green than any other colour in the spectrum,” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said in a press release. “It’s also the colour of growth, renewal and prosperity — no other colour conveys regeneration more than green. For centuries, many countries have chosen green to represent healing and unity.”

Incorporating green in to your interior provides a sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living and promotes a tranquil and serene sense of space. Emerald invites us to throw caution to the wind and embrace a sense of freedom and tranquillity into our lives. There’s never been a better time to go green!

Add a splash of colour to living areas with feature walls complemented by Emerald coloured accents such as shelves and curtains.

We have embraced the vibrant hue with a range of our new collections featuring splashes of green. Inspired by the boldness of the hue, our piazza collection provides an opportunity to experiment with colour, textures and clashing patterns to create a unique and eclectic signature look.

Be bold, be daring, be inspired!
